Why is My Steering Wheel Wet??

I got in my mini-van Thursday morning and as I was rushing off to an appointment I noticed my steering wheel and dash were damp, and my rear sliding door on the right side was dripping water from the top. It had rained over 4 inches the night before, but how did it get in my van?? I checked all the windows & doors and they were all closed. I called my husband to see if the driveway, which is in low-lying area, had flooded and allowed water to seep in the doors. He said, " No, but when I went out at 7:30 AM to clear out the ditch to keep water from backing up into the basement, I saw that the van's sliding door had been left wide open ALL rainy night long." So he closed it. That solved the mystery, but which of our 4 little suspects was to blame??? A good friend of mine says the mantra, "I love my kids, I love my kids," over and over when these things happen, so I tried that. Then I told my sister, who lives in a city with 1 million+ population, the story of my van. She said, "Wow, your van was still there!" Time to count my blessings ~ no one stole it! My husband says all mini-vans smell like kid slobber, maybe that was enough to deter any would-be thieves. My other blessing ~ the photo above is NOT my van! Whew! The next day we had 50+ mph wind gusts, so I left the van doors open and it aired out the slobber-mobile pretty good. I love my kids (?), yeah, I guess I do!!!
