Craziness With Cousins!

Cousin S. loved posing for pictures!

We had a fun visit with Uncle G. and his 3 kids! It was ALL fun and games!
Uncle G. needed a quick shave, but he got more than he bargained for! The shaver quickly became a enhanced interrogation technique as it's battery died and it tore into his skin trapping him in a vice. Unfortunately, he didn't divulge any secrets :(
Group hug with sweet cousin J., in the black floral dress.
Sweet girls!
Yum! Yum!
Pillow fight! The girls are winning!

Hot N' Steamy Garden Tour!

In June we enjoyed a very hot garden tour! I think the heat index was 104 degrees and the actual heat was around 99 degrees. We toured some amazing gardens of local homeowners. I imagine it is a full time job to maintain the gardens we saw! I got some good ideas, saw some interesting plants, took some great photos, and had fun with 2 of my sweet girls (the other 3 kids were in summer school that day.) Beautiful petunias flowing out of a bicycle basket.
A cute little "secret garden" surrounded by trees.
Enjoying a popsicle with a new friend.

Giving 110% !!!!!!!!!

Five year old kids are adorable! They had a game each Saturday morning in June. I think they should call this sport, "Coaches Pitch Saturday Morning Comedy Hour!"
"SAFE" at home base! For some reason our son decided to slide into every base. He hit the ball, ran & slid into 1st base, got up, ran, slid into 2nd base, got up, then slide into 3rd base, got up, ran to home and slid across home plate. His technique is interesting, he basically sits down with his feet in front of him, plops down, and slides on his butt across the base. It was so funny to watch!
Groovin' in the outfield! He couldn't contain his excitement and had to jump around and dance while he waited for some action.

Visiting a Cool Cave!

We visited this cave in June and took a one hour walking tour. The kids were facinated with the rock formations. The baby had a couple of screaming episodes, we are sorry for the other people on the tour that had to hear her yells echo throughout the underground. We had fun and hope to go through the cave again soon! Maybe next time we'll see bats!

I have a going problem.........

..........going crazy that is. June sure flew by! I was just looking at my planner and realized that I need to flip my calendar to July, it was still on May, kinda like June never happened. Actually, June did happen, but with the whirlwind of activities it is like a huge blur! I had 3 kids in summer school (I'm not mean, & they're not behind, they have fun activities at school & field trips).

This is how June went:

Sunday: Go to church, then kids tear up family room while parents nap/scream, "BE QUIET & STOP FIGHTING!!!"

Monday: Baseball game for our 11 yr. old, Family Home Evening ~watching baseball game

Tuesday: 6-9 p.m. go to Master Gardener class, eat yummy snacks, decide to go for a run next morning. Share my horticulture nerd knowledge with husband, he listens on couch with eyes closed, I soon realize he is responding to me mumbling in his sleep. He is dead tired from 3 hrs. of kids and drywall work in the basement after a long day at work.

Wednesday: 7 p.m. kids to scouts and girls activity day, sigh!, plop down on the couch to fold a mountain of laundry.

Thursday: Another little league game

Friday: Work on the house

Saturday: 5 year old has Coaches Pitch baseball game.

Every second of free time was spent painting walls, moving furniture around, and attempting to get organized. SO, as you can see I have a big fat excuse for being 4 weeks behind on blogging. I have photos ready to post as soon as my life slows down a little. Please bear with me. Baseball season is over and our crazy basement remodel is winding down. I'll be back soon!
